Aari embroidery Chamki Work By Prisara@321123 0 Comments Posted on February 13, 2025 Chamki work or the sequence work is also the easiest method in aari embroidery. There are three basic methods for chamki work. Chamkis are available in all colours and sizes.First Method Place the chamki on the cloth and put a chain stitch on both the sides. Start with the chain stitch from outside the chamki and put a chain inside the hole in the center. Continue the chain stitch again from center to the other end. So for each chamki it will have two chain stitches. Continue the process for the first method in chamki stitch. You can either use the zari thread or the silk thread for this method. The thread will be shown on the chamki so either you can use the same color as the chamki or gold zari matching to the border. You can use two to three lines as border or even a single line for the neck line. It looks simple and elegant. Second Method The second method is similar to the first method. Start with the chain stitch and place a chamki and put a chain stitch in the center hole and next again place a chamki and put a chain in the center of the next chamki. Similarly continue the process for each chamki. The thread will also be shown in this method. The difference is that the first method is done with two chains and the second method is done with single chain. First method has some gap in-between and the second method is continuous. Third Method The third method is similar to the bead work. Like you have done the beads using the center finger follow the same method for the third method. Start with the chain stitch and take a chamki using the center finer and insert the chamki inside the thread and put a chain stitch. Continue the same process to complete the third method. This method the thread will not be shown out and also it is overlapping on each other. This is the most commonly used method in the ready made dresses.
