Aari embroidery Bead and Chamki work design By Prisara@321123 0 Comments Posted on February 14, 2025 As we have completed learning the basics of bead and chamki work now we can learn them in shapes and designs. Take only 2-3 beads at a time and continue the bead work on the line drawn to form the curves. You can use the white glass marking pencil to draw the curves and shapes. White pencils are available in stationary shops and in aari embroidery materials shop and also they are available in different colours. Similarly use any one of the chamki method and practice it in curve. I have used third method the overlapping one. Make sure to do the work on the lines drawn correctly to form the curve. Next try the bead work in shapes like the circle, square and thilagam. Make sure to use only two beads at a time so that the shape is formed correctly. Finish it with a long chain and a knot. Next try the square shape and make sure the edges are sharp. You need to put a small lock chain in the same direction and then put a chain and turn to the next line and direction. Once the small lock chain is out the bead is tight and also a shape edges are formed. Continue all the four sides to get a perfect square. Follow the same technique for the tear drop shape for the brand and to form the sharp edge. Make sure the edge is shape by either adding a extra bead or removing the extra bead and put a long chain and a knot. Next start with the chamki work in shapes. I have used first method for the circle shape. Place one chamki and put a chain Stitch from outside to center and then continue the chain Stitch from center to the other side. So each chamki is locked by two chain stitches. Make sure the last chamki and the first chamki had the same gap or accordingly you can adjust to get a perfect Circle. Next I have used the second method in square shape. In square once you put a chain stith for the chamki in the corner place the next chamki in the next direction line and continue the chain in the center hole of that chamki like in the picture. Finish the last chamki chain Stitch with the first chamki and put a knot to form the perfect square. Next I have used the third method for the tear drop shape. The same technique as we use for bead work is to be follow for this third method chamki work. To learn bead work check the below link Complete the last chamki chain Stitch with the first chamki and put a knot. A perfect tear drop shape is formed with sharp edge. Once you practise well in shapes try the spiral method and different shapes. Refer the below drawing for doing th activity. Once you are good with the shapes and the technique for sharp edges you can try this design using the stitches learnt so far along with the bead and chamki work. Download this picture and take a print out of A5 size and use the carbon method tracing and complete the design and share your work in the students group.
