Aari embroidery Chain Stitch Family By Prisara@321123 0 Comments Posted on February 13, 2025 All these stitches are used as the replacement for chain stitch and it looks unique in your designs. Chain Loop Stitch Start with the chain stitch and the second chain should go backwards and inside the loop of the first chain. Make sure the loop is till the edge of the first chain and then pull the chain and it becomes a knot and continue with the second chain. Again take the loop backwards till the edge of the second chain and continue with the third chain. Continue the same process to complete the chain loop stitch. You can put a little bigger chain for this stitch so the loops will look good.Chain Interlocked Stitch Start with the chain stitch and put a small lock chain. Next turn backwards and put a chain immediately next to the lock chain and inside the loop of the first chain and continue with the second chain. Again continue with the small lock chain and go backwards and put a chain immediately before the lock chain and continue with the third chain. The outlook of this stitch is like the chain loops are interlocked with each other as shown in the picture. The difference between the chain loop stitch and the interlocked stitch is that, in chain loop stitch you need to take the chain backwards till the edge of the previous chain whereas in interlocked stitch you just need to put a chain immediately before the small lock chain. Both the stitches has a huge difference in the output.Double Color Chain Stitch This is one of the easiest stitch in the chain stitch family. Start with the chain stitch and complete the line as the base. Next change the color of the zari or thread and start with the center of the first loop of the base chain stitch. Continue the second chain to the center of the second loop of the base chain stitch. Magic Chain Stitch This is also the simple chain stitch however it is time consuming compared to the other stitches as we need to change the color for ever chain. Start with the gold zari, the first color and put a normal chain stitch. And to continue with the second chain make sure the silver zari is rotated clockwise around the needle below the frame, so that when the chain is taken out of the fabric the silver zari comes out. Similarly for the third chain rotate the gold zari around the needle, so the gold zari comes out. Continue the process with alternate colors every time to complete the magic chain stitch. As both the threads are below the frame it is not possible to turn the frame and check for the right color every time. Make sure you handle both the colors below the frame and rotate the alternate colors for each chain stitch. For video explanation for all the stitches in Tamil check the below link https://youtu.be/oejkzYHyARo For video explanation for all the stitches in English check the below link https://youtu.be/IFKjVUAPo8s Share:
