Chilli Chicken or Chicken Kebab



Ingredients:

- 500 grams chicken, cut into small pieces

- 2 tablespoons corn flour

- 2 tablespoons chickpea flour (kadala mavu)

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- 1 teaspoon chili powder

- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

- 1 tablespoon yogurt (curd)

- 1 egg (optional)

- Food coloring (optional)

- Salt to taste

- Oil for deep frying



Instructions:

1. Wash the chicken pieces thoroughly and drain them well.

2. In a bowl, combine corn flour, chickpea flour, garam masala, chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, and yogurt. Mix well.

3. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and coat them evenly with the spice mixture. Let it marinate for 1 hour. Avoid adding water.





4. If desired, beat an egg separately and add it to the marinated chicken mixture. This step is optional.



5. Optionally, add a few drops of food coloring for a vibrant appearance. Mix well.





6. Heat oil in a pan or deep fryer for deep frying the chicken.

7. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated chicken pieces in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.




8. Fry the chicken pieces on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy. Ensure they are cooked thoroughly.

9. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried chicken from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

10. Repeat the frying process with the remaining chicken pieces.

11. Your homemade Chilli Chicken or Chicken Kebab is ready to be served. It's crispy and flavorful!

12. Serve it as a side dish, as an appetizer with evening tea, or as a part of a meal.
