First fix the cloth tight in the frame and adjust all over by pulling the fabric without any wrinkles. Once the fabric is tight it is easy to start the work and for perfect finishing. Start by putting a knot with the thread. The material needed for the stitch is frame(any size) ,cloth (cotton preferred), needle size 14 (tulip brand), zari thread(any brand) and scissors.

Zari thread should not be thicker or thinner. The quality should be good and with medium thickness.

Start with the knot and keep your left hand below the frame and right hand above the frame.

The hook should be facing towards you which means you will be placing your thumb finger on the letters tulip. The other side of the needle will have the numbers. This is the right position of the needle and the hook with being the thread out of the fabric.

Once you pull the thread out of the fabric the knot on one side will hold on and the other side will be used further as in the picture. The picture is showing the backside of the frame.

This is the position of the needle where your thumb finger should be placed on the letters.

You can start the stitch by pricking the fabric and the hand below will give a complete clockwise rotation around the needle and once the thread is about to come out you need to twist and turn the needle and the thread easily comes out of the fabric. The twist and turn should be a haf rotation on the left side.

Check out the pictures on the twist and turn technique. Once you twist the letters will go up and once you turn back the letters comes back to your thumb which is the original position of handling the needle.

So first the numbers will be shown up and when the needle is twisted in the half rotation the numbers go down and again once you twist back the needle the number comes up and also the thread comes out of the fabric. Follow this technique and continue the chain Stitch.

Do not bend the needle in the opposite direction as you will find the loop above the fabric which becomes difficult for the loop below to get into the upper loop when you take the loop outside the fabric. Also do not pull the thread hard as the chain will not look good.

Check the picture as you will find the difference of the loops when you pull the thread hard. These chains look long and does not look fat.

Once you are done with the stitch pull the thread and cut the loop with scissors. Do not pull the thread hard as the needle will break.

This is a temporary lock for the beginners as i will take you on how to put the knot in next blog/video.
